  • Overview

    This position is responsible for supporting, organizing, and coordinating product lines through the product life cycle. This includes, assisting with the product development process by assessing consumer, customer, and competitive opportunities, as well as business needs.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge about our product categories, markets, and competitors.
    • Manage the product roadmap, including the implementation of product development initiatives through the stage gating process to support brand strategies and positioning.
    • Support product development and launch activities.
    • Perform competitive and gap analysis of all key competitors to identify opportunities for new markets, new products, etc.
    • Develop competitive intelligence tools to analyze product mix, technologies and pricing strategies.
    • Manage product life-cycle including SKU rationalization, new product business case development, and commercial strategy and implementation.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Engineering, Quality, Production, and Marketing, throughout the product development and implementation process.
    • Support product quality assurance and testing.
    • Manage consumer and clinical trials, from development to conclusion.
    • Manage any changes associated with the product specification, including material changes, packaging changes, design changes, as well as the communication with other departments about such changes.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, product design, engineering or related field
    • 2-3 years’ experience in product development, product marketing or related field.
    • Well-developed communication (written and oral) and diplomacy skills to guide, influence, and convince others (internal and external), including members of the senior leadership team
    • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to use financial or other data to inform a lay audience
    • Ability to work independently or in teams, managing and prioritizing multiple mission-critical tasks
