  • Overview

    Schedule:                           9:30a-6:00pm M-F

    Primary Function:             Provides clerical support and coordination in the Logistics office for shipping, receiving and inventory management activities.


    Customer Service

    • Manages drivers at the logistics window and assigns them doors in which to dock.
    • Communicates with drivers’ dispatch when urgent shipping/receiving problems arise, seeking solutions that allow all parties to reach quality and timely outcomes.
    • Communicates with all members of the warehouse as needed regarding various logistics activities.
    • Acts a key point of contact for the shipping office when other internal customers questions and/or concerns.


    • Processes pick lists received from customer service (2 to 3 times per day). 
      • Sort sales orders from customer service into truckloads, LTL’s, or small package.
      • Route each order in Simplified Logistics computer program to determine best carrier according to cost and service.
      • Print shipping labels for LTL shipments.
      • Distribute pick lists to appropriate locations for further processing.
    • Prepares BOL’s and Customs Documents for shipping.
    • Process Walgreen’s orders for PPS (small-package shipping).
    • Calls LTL carriers to schedule pickups, when necessary.
    • Updates order status on the traffic log.
    • Reviews shipping report and corrects errors.
    • Ships Incontinence, footwear, Kenakore and Smart Warehouse sales orders in QAD every day.
    • Email carriers for quotes for Gelok orders.
    • Sorts and files paperwork.
    • Coordinates transfer driver activities and paperwork.
    • Keeps track of office supply inventory. 
    • Receives and processes associate orders for seconds & associate purchases.
    • Assists the Transportation Coordinator as needed. 


    • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
    • A minimum of 2 years of clerical experience in an office setting is preferred.
    • Experience in a shipping or receiving office is desirable.
    • Competency with Microsoft Office
