  • Overview

    The VP of Marketing is responsible for conceptualizing and executing marketing programs that advance PBE’s business units and its corporate image to achieve long term revenue growth consistent with its core mission.  The successful candidate will be an innovative and strategic thinker who can connect strategy and metrics in a way that guides and motivates business development and marketing priorities.

    Responsibilities

    1. Develop marketing strategy for all business units and respective sales channels.
    2. Balance marketing plan complexity and effort with likelihood for success and revenue/profit contribution.
    3. Within each business unit, provide direction and/or ownership about product positioning, promotion, pricing, and performance claims relative to competition.
    4. Track and report on metrics associated with each business unit’s marketing performance
    5. Mentor and develop staff to be able to effectively implement business unit-specific marketing plans in a way that balances limited resources with corporate objectives.
    6. Support growth and developmental opportunities and on-going training needs for further development of direct reports
    7. Build highly collaborative relationships with key departments, specifically sales, business development and R&D.
    8. Direct market analysis and research activities, including competitive trends.
    9. Evolve and create opportunities to win in the digital channel, specifically including Amazon.
    10. Develop and manage department budget and expenses.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree required. MBA degree is preferred.
    • 10 to 15 years of experience in marketing, preferably with a B2B/B2C company with at least five years in one or more of the following industries: healthcare, consumer products, or high performance absorbent products.
    • Strong people leadership experience, business strategy, ethics, and judgement.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills.
    • Experience with Amazon or direct-to-consumer strategies preferred.
    • Intuitive sense of how to use data to make better decisions required; data analytical skills preferred
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, PowerPoint, Word; Tableau proficiency preferred
    • Creative, self-starter, capable of engaging both tactically and strategically on day-to-day responsibilities.
