Manager of Strategic Partnerships



We are seeking a smart, organized, strategic, data-driven, friendly individual to manage strategic partnerships. Over the next few years, activities are likely to include negotiating merger and acquisition terms, representing the interests of PBE once partnerships are established, engaging in due diligence for potential partnerships, and evaluating new partnerships. This role will focus on building partnerships to accelerate our growth and performance through the identification of new opportunities, enhanced thought leadership, and opportunities for change. Our ideal candidate relies on a combination of quantitative inputs and soft skills when working with others because s/he understands that not all benefits are easily quantified. You are a motivated, results-driven, collaborative problem solver with strong analytical, communication, and project management skills. You can keep focused on big picture strategy while remaining vigilant to all the details associated with executing on that strategy.


  • Work with existing strategic partners to fully understand the costs, benefits, and potential future benefits.
  • Create business plans and financial models with new and existing partners that are realistically aggressive.
  • Assist in the negotiation of complex transactional terms and legal documents.
  • Work with internal and external business teams on strategy development to prioritize strategic gaps, and evaluate proof of concepts/commercial/partner options.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure appropriate resources are applied to each partnership.
  • Use PBE consultants (legal, due diligence, etc.) as efficiently as possible to maximize their benefit.
  • Follow through on prospect meetings and qualify the opportunities.
  • Develop materials (e.g., presentations, analyses) to support the partnership programs.
  • Build execution roadmaps to monitor and evaluate success and identify necessary course corrections.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge about our product categories, markets, and competitors.
  • Deliver results according to specific metrics created for each strategic engagement.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, product design, engineering or related field; MBA preferred.
  • No specific years of work experience required, except demonstration of top-level performance.
  • Adept at reading the dynamics of competitive situations, identifying impending events, and recommending potential strategies which deliver value
  • Well-developed communication (written and oral) and diplomacy skills to guide, influence, and convince others (internal and external), including members of the senior leadership team
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to use financial or other data to inform a lay audience.
  • Ability to work independently or in teams, managing and prioritizing multiple mission-critical tasks.
