We are seeking a smart, organized, strategic, data-driven, friendly individual to manage our product development process. At PBE, the product manager is the messenger from the market, translating consumer, customer, and competitive opportunities for growth into the product development process with an eye toward financial and corporate growth objectives. You will be responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling our product lines from the conceptual stages through the product life cycle. You are a motivated, results-driven, collaborative problem solver with strong analytical, communication, and project management skills. You have empathy for the challenges faced by individual with health issues and understand the importance of the types of solutions PBE provides. You can keep focused on big picture strategy while remaining vigilant to all the details associated with executing on that strategy.


  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge about our product categories, markets, and competitors
  • Drive the product roadmap, including the direction of product development initiatives through the stage gating process to support brand strategies and positioning.
  • Manage product life-cycle including SKU rationalization, new product business case development, and commercial strategy and implementation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Engineering, Quality, Production, and Marketing, throughout the product development and implementation process.
  • Build business case and return on investment analyses for new products/features. Recommend product and channel pricing strategy and search out cost reduction opportunities.
  • Manage any changes associated with the product specification, including material changes, packaging changes, design changes, as well as the communication with other departments about such changes


  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, product design, engineering or related field; MBA preferred
  • No specific years of work experience required, except demonstration of top-level performance
  • Strong marketing intuition (or experience), some grasp on material properties and their measurement, attention to detail, and organizational skills
  • Well-developed communication (written and oral) and diplomacy skills to guide, influence, and convince others (internal and external), including members of the senior leadership team
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to use financial or other data to inform a lay audience
  • Ability to work independently or in teams, managing and prioritizing multiple mission-critical tasks
